Using InfoPath 2010 with SharePoint 2010 it's possible to create SharePoint forms that can capture repeating sections of data. This can be particularly useful for applications like timesheets where a variable number of task rows need to be completed each week, depending entirely on what the person has been working on that week. This video creates a timesheet application in SharePoint 2010 from scratch in just a few minutes.

The ability to integrate custom code is one of the [not so] secrets of SharePoint's success. However not every organisation that uses SharePoint has the resource or opportunity to do that. A little more emphasis on no code solutions is needed when dealing with user requirements.
